Great Wall Kiln Factory |
Time brings great changes to this world. When we stand here for a long time, we might not know that the vast area of loess under our feet was the exact site of the kiln factory for constructing the Badaling Great Wall. Just imagine how large the kilns were in those years, and how hard laborers worked day and night. History melted into sweaters and flowed on the arched bronze backs of the laborers. The years burnt into scarlet blazes and told us today with slender blue smokes that they, echoing nearby labors to construct the Great Wall on mountain ridges, constitute the everlasting unyielding landscape of the civilizations created by the Chinese nation. The fumed smoke traces on the loess cliffs are vague footprints of history. The uneven bricks exposed on the loess faults are languages solidifying history.
