Zhan Tianyou Memorial The memorial is placed 800 meters away from the Pass to commemorate Zhan Tianyou, a patriotic engineer making outstanding contributions in China’s railway construction. It has a floor space of 9,600 square meters, exhibiting goods in 1,100 square meters. The front part of the courtyard is erected with a large-scale granite relief recording the historical background and major contributions of Zhan Tianyou. The memorial collects 1,500 pieces of cultural relics, and 600 photos. It presents the glorious life of Zhan Tianyou, as well as the general situation of China’s railway construction in the early days, its technologies and achievements.
